The old rubber flappers had warped allowing water back into the cockpit area, so I decided to replace them with Rabud ball scuppers.

I broke the screen on my original bilge pump when tearing it off to fix the balsa penetration. I decided to upgrade because some of the newer pumps are getting good reviews a. Plus, the through hull is now on the other side so a new improved hose was also installed.

Some of the drops were 10-12 feet, but you couldn't see that because of the brush. The Ranger that I spoke with said the last time she was on this trail was to medevac a hiker with a broken leg resulting from a bridge collapsing. Fun.
