We’re trying to determine current local interest in our 16’ “Oh Buoy” in Northern California versus waiting until next year, since it will be hard to do multiple sea trials with interested buyers, etc. over the coming months due to upcoming medical procedures. So any feedback will be appreciated, maybe it’s too late in the season to sell. I have to say, this forum has been so beneficial to us over the three years we’ve had her, it’s been so appreciated!

Mercury 50 (hours unknown, but runs good and believed to be low). Original large service manual. New Tohatsu 8.375 x 6” pitch prop (also have original prop). Nearly new (2hours) Mercury 5hp kicker. 2006 Magic Trailer registered in California thru 2029. Batteries - 2021 acid and 2022 AGM. Six and nine gallon gas tanks.

Barely used Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv Chartplotter/fishfinder with GT54 Transducer and USCG G3 charts, Standard Horizon GX2400 VHF radio with AIS, GPS and NMEA2000. Also, one Standard Horizon portable VHF (HX890 DSC GPS) and one Cobra floating VHF (MR HH350 FLT). Manuals for all.

Original seats and bed in excellent condition. We currently have additional seats installed in a different configuration for fishing, easy to change back to the original seats, but we love the new setup. Sunbrella full cover (original, re-waterproofed) that has been divided in two and attach to each other with velcro for easy on and off, but it’s probably time for a new cover. Home-made custom sunbrella half cover.

Replaced rub rails with stainless fittings, new inside paint, new windshield wiper unit, filled holes in the bilge area caused by the common battery attachment – no soft spots anywhere. No bottom paint.

Two Onyx inflatable lifejackets, two Onyx auto inflatable belt lifejackets, throwable life jackets, fire extinguisher, anchor, emergency safety horn and light, green Dri-Dek flooring, porta-potty, lots of fenders, fishing rod holders, telescoping paddle with hook, fish net, etc.

We even have the original C-Dory owner’s manual :)

Looks like a nice 16 and very well equipped. Price seems fair too. But any boat sale can be very time consuming. So you may want to wait. Just be sure and protect the boat from decay and neglect while you wait. You could also place the boat with a broker if you don’t mind paying their fee. We bought our C-Dory 22 from Gone Fishin’ Marine in Dixon, which isn’t terribly far from you, and I can recommend them.

Nice boat, fairly priced. You should have no difficulty selling to someone who wants a 16 cruiser. Most of the C Dorys are sold via this site. You only give a "sea trial" to someone who has given the 10% deposit and has a signed contract to purchase. A survey is also "allowed", but again only after a contract and deposit.

I see a Raymarine multi function display on the photos? The Garmin has replaced that? Also a "GPS" which looks like the display on the Standard Horizon VHF radio; part of the AIS display.

If you expect medical issues, then it might be less stressful to sell the boat now. This is just the beginning of the season even in your area. Good fortune on the sale, and any upcoming medical problems.

Thanks so much Bob, yes, both the fishfinder/plotter and radio have been replaced since the photo you looked at. You help so many people here you probably don't remember helping me with my many, many questions in the first year we owned her, it was MUCH appreciated :)

Peter - interesting you're in Seattle, just got back from Seattle and an Alaskan cruise :) We're pretty much ready to sell, message me or call me at the number listed and let me know what pics or vids or additional info I can provide. After the next week or so, we start our medical "journey", so will be pretty tied up except on weekends.
