They tell me for the first few miles he was Watson...then they really LOOKED at him, and of course he is an Oscar!

Great looking little feller but be careful with him around the TyBoo. Mike's apt to head home with him and claim he thought it was Skipper. Can't wait to see a picture of the two of them together. That's Skipper and Oscar, not Mike and Oscar.
Congratulations, looking forward to meeting him. I'll have to start packing more biscuits.

Yeah, Austin leaving him long enough to go to school will be a problem, all right! Update, well let's see...he is now 6 days older than when we brought him home, has settled right in to our family, has done his duty outside a couple of times, otherwise generally is coming close to the papers the rest of the time, is totally endearing himself to all of us, has figured out that his crate is where he is supposed to sleep (and he plays hard and then takes LONG naps, wish I could do the same!), loves his chew toy. It will be a lot of fun to see how he takes to the boat in May for the Lopez dealie!! We are here at Birch Bay right now (where it is 21 degrees cold), and he is having no problem settling in here either (with us around and his crate, I think he would be at home anywhere we go). No new recent pix, sorry. Enough of any update?

Patty here---just thought I'd add that Oscar has been terrific today and made lots of yellow snow!!!! Austin's been taking him out just about hourly and we have numerous yellow "spots" out there---I've cautioned Austin about eating yellow snow!!!!

Hey - them Lhassa's are natural snow dogs. They come from way up in the Himalayas at that Tibet place where the Dally Lammer feller used to hang out. Yellow spots are in their genes.
That little Skipper is sure doing his part to brighten people's lives! I do believe he had a subtle influence on Austin's choice for a buddy. He has also inspired two of the guys I work with to bring home Lhassa puppies. One guy got one that has similar coloring as Oscar, and another guy just yesterday brought home a twin to Skipper, plus a little runt of a mutt with a bum leg that the kennel lady was going to put down.
So, I guess when I am working on the boat over the winter getting it ready for sturgeon fishing, I had best make sure there is room for Oscar?

I will pass on the news that the one with the bum leg as rescued - Austin really thought that was awful that she was going to put him down. An by all means, make room for Oscar (he really does not take up a lot of space!)

Good for Dave and Mrs. Dave! I don't know that Patty and Austin even though of it as an option...it is quite a commitment!

Poor little Skipper. He went to the Vet for his big operation yesterday. They could only find one of the things they were looking for, so they had to cut him open more and dig around. Never did find the other one. He has had a rough couple of days. I felt so bad for the little guy last night. He was just miserable. He's better today, but as you can see from the picture, he is still hurting.

Oooh, that is one SAD looking Skipper...I had to shield Oscar's eyes! We have a mobile spay / neuter clinic, the Posado Program trailer (a program that was set up after the senseless beating death of Posado, a petting zoo donkey in Bellevue), that stops in Snoqualmie on some regular schedule. Oscar's time is not THAT far off either. Geez, I hope they can find both of his thingees without digging...
